The Master's Bucket List ... Part 4

If Jesus were to make a list of “Things to Do and Say before You Die,” what would you find on that list?

Matthew, in Chapter 21, recalls things Jesus did, and said He would do, as He completed the Earth side of His Mission.

27. I will play out on my way to my Mount Olympus – Calvary – the Prophet’s parody of Earthly power. My steed will be the unbroken foal of a Beast of Burden. Humbly I will ride into the City where I will ultimately be crowned with thorns, and enthroned on a cruel cross where all I am will be sacrificed. My acclaim will be the chants and songs of Children and the Childlike. Palm branches that cluttered the streets, and garments of the people will be my garlands and carpet my Royal way. My triumph will be the destruction of myself. The spoils of my conquests will be my robe and sandals. And those will be gambled away in a frivolous game of chance.

28. I will deal severely with the elitist, pietistic, self-serving, power-brokering, fruitless religious who’ve made a travesty of my Father and the things intended to honor Him and endear His people to Him.

29. I will extend mercy to people who know they’re powerless, living lives of complete chaos, longing for someone to rescue them; the Mary Magdalenes; the Marys of Bethany; the Matthews; Zaccheus and his ilk; Followers who’ve denied they knew me, abandoned me, run away and hid.

30. To those who follow me on the path of humility, rejection, and suffering, even those I rescue from hiding, I will give Authority and mountain-moving belief in God, which demonstrates over and beyond all time that We – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – are the true and sole source of Love, Knowledge, and Power.

The Master's Bucket List ... Part 3

If Jesus were to make a list of “Things to Do and Say Before You Die,” what would you find on that list?

In Matthew 20 the Master’s Friend recalled some things the Lord said and did “as He was going up to Jerusalem,” where, He explained, “He would be crucified.” Things of utmost importance to Him as He finished His Mission on Earth.

21. I will deal with people kindly, generously.

22. In my Kingdom we will value people so differently that the VIP’s here will be at the end of the line while those marginalized in Earthly Kingdoms will be up front.

23. I will not shy away from suffering but will die the most painful, ugly death known to humankind. With that I will conquer death and be “raised from the dead.”

24. I, the “Son of Man,” came to Earth not to be served but to serve all people. As your Role Model this is your example. If you want to lead in the Kingdom of God you must become a Servant. And the VIP’s in this Kingdom are slaves of one another.

25. My heart is moved by every cry for mercy and I will respond compassionately to specific pleas for intervention even if they require a healing touch.

26. I welcome Followers who’ve trusted me to intervene in their troubled lives.

The Master's Bucket List ... Part 2

What was most important to Jesus in the final days before His death. If He were to make a list of “Things to Do and Say Before You Die,” what would be on that list?

In Matthew 19 Jesus’ Friend recalls several important things Jesus said on the way to His death.

12. Marriage is the Creator’s creation. It’s the union of a Man and Woman so complete that they become one … no longer two but one … inseparable.

13. Divorce is God’s concession to human hardheartedness.

14. Divorce corrupts the Marriage bond unless the infidelity of one spouse or the other has already contaminated it.

15. Welcome Children. Citizens of heaven’s Kingdom are all childlike.

16. That person who values anyone or anything more than God cannot enter God’s Kingdom.

17. God can find a way for anyone seeking reception into His Kingdom to enter.

18. People who follow me will give up many things to do so but they will receive it all back many times over. Furthermore they will inherit eternal life.

19. In the end, when God’s rule is finally, fully established many #1’s will be last.

20. Jesus healed the sick of many in the large crowds that followed Him establishing the importance of healing in the Kingdom of the Heavens.
